Police are continuing the search for escaped Clinton Correctional Facility inmates David Sweat and Richard Matt.

Law enforcement are checking seasonal camps and abandoned buildings in the region, as well as continuing to sweep trails and railroad beds, looking for any signs of the two escapees.

State, federal and local law enforcement officers have cleared more than 160 unoccupied buildings and seasonal homes, and have searched 585 miles of railroad beds and trails so far.

Authorities say the effort will continue to expand geographically throughout the region.

State Police are asking homeowners and hunters who have video surveillance and/or trail cameras in the region to check their footage for any suspicious activity since June 6th.
