State Police are highlighting a 1958 homicide in the Town of Eaton on "Cold Case Tuesday."

63-year old Ernest Chaney was killed on September 22nd,1958 while working as an attendant at the Gulf Service Station on Route 20 in Eaton.

Chaney was found unresponsive on the floor of an oil storage room by a motorist.

Police say Chaney was struck in the head a total of nine times and his wallet containing about $80 was stolen.  There were no indications that any money or anything else was stolen from inside the gas station and no weapon was ever located.

They say many leads were followed up on during that time period and the case has remained open.

Several interviews of potential witnesses have been completed throughout the years, however police say the homicide has never been solved.
