State Police Host Child Safety Seat Check Today

Oneida, NY (WIBX) – Police say about ninety percent of car seats are not installed properly.

If you’re wondering about your child’s seat, New York State Troopers are giving you a chance to double-check for free.

Today, December 8, 2012 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Troop D Headquarters at 261 Genesee Street in Oneida troopers will check the child restraints in your car.

All children in New York State must be restrained in a proper car seat while riding in a motor vehicle until they are eight years old.

Pre-registration for the event is required. Call (315) 366.6032 for an appointment.
