Gino Geruntino, WIBX

An identification has been made by State Police regarding the remains of a body found behind a Little Falls home.

Officials say the body was identified as Donald Wichelns, who would currently be 71, and was last seen alive between seven and nine years ago. He was found May 1st, behind a home located at 59 Flint Ave.

A cause of death has yet to be determined.

Last week, State Police arrested Wicheln’s former caretaker, Tammy Lynn Sterling-Barthelmess, 55, on forgery charges.

The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call State Police.
