State Police Investigating Fatal Lewis County Snowmobile Crash

State Police are still investigating a fatal snowmobile crash in Lewis County.

According to Police, Troopers responded to Flat Rock Road in the Town of Montague for a report of a serious injury snowmobile accident.

Investigators determined the operator of the sled, 18-year-old Luke Tyrrell, was traveling on Snowmobile Trail C5D when he lost control, struck an embankment and then a tree.

Tyrrell was transported to Lewis County Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing.
