State Police Release Name Of Marcy Drowning Victim

Marcy, NY (WIBX) – State Police have released the name of the woman who apparently drowned in Marcy.

Police say 52-year old Debra Sadigh of Utica was found in a pond behind a home on Seavy Road last night.

She was pulled from the water and life saving measures were initiated by members of Kunkel Ambulance and the Stittville Fire Department.

Sadigh was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where she later died.

An autopsy will be conducted today.

The investigation is continuing.
