State Police Seek Information In Delta Lake Drowning

State Police are continuing their investigation into a drowning incident on Delta Lake.

55-year old Maryellen Hall of Rome was swimming with family members in the Delta Reservoir on Sunday evening when she became distressed in the water.

A passing boater was able to help with getting Hall back into a boat and began CPR

Hall was later pronounced dead at Rome Memorial Hospital.

Police are interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in the area and may have seen the victim in distress or being helped back into the boat.
