State Senate Passes Resolution To Create ResultsNY Website

Albany, NY (WIBX) - The New York State Senate today passed legislation to create a new website that will let the public see how government agencies are spending tax dollars.

The bill, sponsored by State Senator Joe Griifo, creates a new website called ResultsNY.gov. It will allow the public to view government expenditures as well as submit suggestions on how to save money.

Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos says the new legislation will make government more transparent.  The bill was sent to the Assembly.
