State Senator Charged With Making False Statements

New York State Senator Thomas Libous is charged with making false statements to the FBI.

Investigators had been probing to find out if Libous, a Republican from the Binghamton area, used his position to get his son Matthew a job with a law firm in Westchester.

Matthew Libous has been charged with obstruction and filing false tax returns.

Both will be arraigned today.
