Heavy flakes continue to fall across the Mohawk Valley with more accumulating snow excepted through the day Thursday and overnight into Friday.

The Weather Channel's Scott Lawrimore estimates the storm - now named Hercules - will bring six to 12 inches of snow in our area of central New York, with higher amounts possible in higher elevations.

The storm has prompted snow and travel emergencies in the area.
