Subway Robbery Leads To Arrests Of Three Men
New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - New Hartford Police arrested three men for a staged robbery, following a six month investigation.
According to Investigator Matthew Sica, on May 19th, police were called to the Subway on Commercial Drive for an armed robbery.
When they arrived, Kevin Cole, 31, of Utica, reported that a masked man came into the shop, displayed a gun, then left the back of the store with money from the register.
It was later determined that Cole had helped plan the heist with help from Abege Berkley, 27, of New York Mills and Ricky Cummings, 39, of Utica.
All three were charged with one misdemeanor count of Petit Larceny. Cole was also charged with Falsifying Business Records, falsely reporting an incident and giving a false written statement.
