SUNY Broome Community College is looking for unemployed residents to enroll in the Manufacturing Basics Training Program.

The deadline for enrollment is November 1.

Candidates will be screened at the Broome Tioga Workforce New York offices in Binghamton and Owego.

The certification program consists of 58 hours of classroom training and completion guarantees interviews with participating companies.

Eligible candidates must be dislocated workers who have been terminated or laid off, received notification of layoff and are unlikely to return to a previous industry or occupation, have lost a job due to the closing of a facility, were self-employed but suffered job loss due to economic conditions or natural disaster, are a displaced homemaker or the spouse of a member of the Armed Forces on active duty who has experienced loss of employment due to relocation.
