SUNY Canton Cancels Classes After Social Media Threat
Classes at SUNY Canton have been cancelled and students were told to take shelter and lock their doors after a threat on the social media website Yik-Yak.
The threat warned students not to attend class on Thursday if they valued their lives, and a second threat warned that the incident would happen at noon.
As of 1:50 this afternoon, there have been no incidents reported on campus, and University Police are evacuating buildings.
University Police are investigating and Yik-Yak has been contacted to help investigators identify who made the threat.
