Utica, NY (WIBX) - Johnson Park Center is getting another boost of support from SUNYIT students and faculty members, who for the second year in a row, are hosting a 5K Run and Walk to benefit the center. The event taking place across SUNY IT's campus, kicks-off on Saturday, October 22nd. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with the run and walk following at 9:00 a.m. The cost is $10 for individuals and $20 per team. Also, the first 10 finishers will receive T-Shirts.

Organizers say the money raised will help support the many programs offered by JPC, including its Youth Center. The 5K Run and Walk is organized by SUNYIT Associate Sociology Professor Dr. Ronni Tichenor and the SUNYIT Student Association.  To learn more about the non-profit group, visit them at, www.johnsonparkcenter.org.
