The March murder of a Rome man might be one step closer to closure.

A four-month long investigation into the apparent murder of fifty-year old Charles Digristine has resulted in the arrest of Utica resident Derrick Carter.

Digristine's body, with multiple gunshot wounds, was found at his home on 115 Lawrence Street on March 26, 2013.

Rome Detectives Ray Bolton and Eric Sochia have been working with the Oneida County District Attorney, Oneida County Sheriffs, Utica Police Department, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.  They arrested the twenty-four year old Carter, who is now being charged with the alleged murder of Digristine.
