A suspect in a bank robbery in Syracuse is now in custody after police located him in Utica, New York.

Ronald Reid is accused of passing a note demanding money to a teller at the Summit Federal Credit Union located at 1400 Erie Boulevard East at about 12:50pm Monday, January 26, 2015.  Syracuse Police had released a written release describing the suspect as a black male between the ages of forty and fifty, of large build and about six feet two inches tall.  At the time of the alleged crime the suspect was wearing a brown jacket and dark-colored ski cap.  Witnesses say he left the scene in a Nissan Pathfinder SUV.

52-Year-old Ronald Reid, along with the Nissan Pathfinder, were located by Utica Police on Tuesday at about 9:15am on Rutger Street.

He was brought to Syracuse and arrested.  Reid now faces third-degree robbery charges.  He is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.

Syracuse Police say Reid is under investigation for his possible connection to other robberies in the city.
