Suspected War Criminal Captured in Utica

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police and the Oneida County Sheriff's Department helped Federal Authorities nab a suspected war criminal. According to Utica Police, 50-year old Sulejam Mujagic has been charged in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the unlawful killing of the enemy and unlawful wounding and torture of a prisoner of war, the actions are believed to have taken place when Mujagic commanded a platoon in the Army of the Autonomous Province of Western Bosnia in 1995.

Mujagic moved to Utica in 1997, he is pending extradition to face the charges abroad.
