The No. 17 Syracuse Orange snapped a three game slide with a 78-57 win  over DePaul on Wednesday night at the Carrier Dome, the final Big East game at the dome, and the last home game for seniors James Southerland and Brandon Triche.

The pair combined for 37 points, but Southerland, especially, struggled from the field. He had ten boards and scored 22 points, but shot just 1-10 from 3-point range, finishing 5-18 overall. Triche added 15 points.

C.J. Fair had 16 points, while Michael Carter Williams had ten for the Orange (23-7, 11-6 Big East).

Cleveland Melvin led the charge for the Blue Demons with 15 points and eight rebounds.
