SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Officials say a Syracuse nightspot where four people were shot and wounded last month was operating illegally and wasn't zoned as a club.

The Post-Standard reports (http://bit.ly/2ymnNnB ) that the city's code enforcement officers visited Hush Lounge last week and filed violations against the property, which housed an old upholstery business.

Police say a fight broke out inside and outside the lounge early on the morning of Sept. 24. Four people were wounded by gunfire. All survived the shooting.

Investigators say at least 10 shots were fired from two guns.

City inspectors cited the lounge for outstanding violations that label the club an "unlawful structure."

Officials say they believe the building wasn't aware the nightclub was being operated out of the property by the person leasing it.
