SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Officials with Destiny USA say the central New York mall is cooperating with local law enforcement after a fight among teens led to three arrests the day after Christmas.

General Manager Rob Schoeneck released a statement on Tuesday refuting reports that security ushered patrons toward exits and the Syracuse mall closed following the large brawl on Monday night.

Sgt. Julie Shulsky says officers were called to the mall around 9:30 p.m. to help break up the melee, which occurred in a corridor near the Villa clothing store.

Two 15-year-old girls were arrested as well as a 16-year-old boy. Shulsky says no weapons were used in the fight and no injuries were reported.

Schoeneck said that guest safety is "of utmost importance to Destiny USA."
