Authorities are looking for suspects in an animal cruelty case that occurred earlier this month.

In a posting on their Facebook page Syracuse Police say they received a complaint of animal cruelty at approximately 3:20pm on Saturday, May 9, 2015.

When officers arrived at the scene on the 100 block of Davis Street they say they found a small terrier mix that was said to have been tossed from the window of a dark-colored SUV.

Although the dog did not appear to have been injured by the fall, Syracuse Police said it was "suffering from medical neglect."   It was taken to Dewitt Animal Hospital for treatment.

Authorities are asking anyone who has information that may be helpful about the incidentto call them at: (315) 442.5336.
