The Syracuse Orange responded from their first losing streak in two years with a strong performance over the Irish at the Carrier Dome on Monday, topping No. 25 Notre Dame 63-47.

After dropping to ninth in the national polls earlier in the day, 'Cuse shot a red hot 49% from the field, despite making just 4 of 15 from 3-point range.

C.J. Fair had a game high 18 points to go along with ten boards helping the Orange recover from back-to-back road losses to unranked opponents. Rakeem Christmas had a dozen points while Jerami Grant scored 14 in a showdown with his brother.

ND's Grant, Jerian, outscored his sibling by a point in the losing effort, on the same day the Irish (18-5, 6-4 Big East) cracked the AP Top 25. Jack Cooley grabbed eleven boards and scored ten points.

'Cuse (19-3, 7-2 Big East) will host St. John's at the Carrier Dome on Saturday at 3:00.

The Red Storm (14-8, 6-4 Big East) say their five game winning streak snapped by Georgetown over the weekend.
