The ninth-ranked Syracuse men's basketball team pulled out a narrow 56-50 non-conference win against St. Francis (NY) at the Carrier Dome on Monday. In a week that saw #7 Michigan and #12 North Carolina fall at the hands of unranked opponents, the Orange managed to avoid their first non-conference home loss since December 2008.

Terriers held a 50-46 lead with just about four minutes left in regulation but the Orange made a big run and scored the final ten points of the game to seal the comeback victory.

DaJuan Coleman led the Orange with 14 points and 6 boards while Jerami Grant chipped in 13 off the bench. C.J. Fair, the projected ACC Player of the Year, was held to just 7 points and shot an abysmal 2-13 from the field.

Jalen Cannon led the Terriers with 16 points and 8 rebounds. St. Francis falls to 2-2 while Syracuse improves to 4-0 and will be playing in the EA Sports Maui Invitational next week. The Orange will be taking on Minnesota in their first tournament game on Monday.
