A jury says a woman accused in a fatal hit and run near Destiny USA in 2013 is not guilty of vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.

Alicia Alampi was accused of killing Robert BeVard on December 13, 2013 while he was walking near the mall in Syracuse.  Last night the jury said that she was not guilty of those charges, but found that she was drunk the night that she hit BeVard and drove away, not knowing that she had hit someone.

Authorities say that the victim was drunk as well, and that he was walking in the middle of the street when he was hit by Alampi.

MetroSource is reporting that Alampi must still answer to two drunken driving charges: driving while intoxicated (DWI) and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
