If you saw the play, this probably comes as no surprise.

Chris McCullough, Syracuse's 6-foot-10 athletic freshman power forward, has a torn ACL which he sustained in the first half of the Orange's 70-57 win over Florida State on Sunday night.

The injury occurred after McCullough leapt into the air to grab a long, and high, pass from Michael Gbinije. His knee buckled as he landed. He collapsed and was unable to walk-off the floor on his own power.

Syracuse.com reports:

The injury happened in the exact spot that SU women's basketball player Brittney Sykes tore her ACL a week earlier, when the Orange women played Notre Dame.

SU coach Jim Boeheim said at noon today that Tyler Roberson will start in McCullough's power forward spot, with Chino Obokoh's role expanded to accommodate McCullough's loss at the center spot.

McCullough has averaged nine points, seven rebounds and better than two blocks per game.
