TNT’s Ernie Johnson may have won the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Studio Host on Tuesday, but he didn’t bring the trophy home with him.

Apart from all the good spirits of the evening, every Emmys inevitably becomes a somber occasion in honoring those we've lost over the course of the year. Now, with Robin Williams' tragic suicide still weighing on the world at large, the 2014 Emmy Awards have announced that Billy Crystal will step up to honor his fallen friend in the memoriam segment of the evening.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Seth Meyers will take his late-night act to prime time as the next host of the Emmy Awards.

The Television Academy is mourning the loss of one of its executives today.  Lucy Hood, President and Chief Operating Officer of the academy, lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday at the age of 56.
