The U.S. Olympics Committee is announcing the honorees for "Best of U.S.," a new awards program that recognizes outstanding performances from the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Snow and frigid temperatures didn't stop hundreds of Central New Yorkers from lining the streets to welcome home Olympic champion Erin Hamlin. I think every firetruck in the county escorted Hamlin on her parade route. We were privileged enough to be in the parade to experience a hometown heroes welcome.

Olympic Medalist Erin Hamlin celebrated her homecoming to Central New York by passing through many communities in a long motorcade. We've collected videos from along the parade route.

Erin Hamlin makes her return to Central New York on Thursday February 26, 2014 with her Olympic Bronze medal in a homecoming celebration. If you're planning on coming to one of the parade stops, here is the itinerary.

Olympic medal winner Erin Hamlin returns home Thursday and you can be part of her welcome. Fans are being encourages to crowd the streets of her route home from Verona to Remsen. Erin is scheduled to land in Syracuse at 4:40pm Thursday. You'll need to be at the beginning of the parade route in Verona (Main Street, from Rt. 31 to Rt. 365) right around 5:30.

Local Olympian Erin Hamlin's success in the Sochi Winter Olympics is stil being celebrated here in Central New York.
