Before you claim that I'm just another "sour grapes" Bills fan who after losing on Sunday night wants to see the overtime rules changed in the NFL, let me say, I've always hated OT in the NFL.
A lot of Bills fans were mad that the Bills did not get a chance to have the ball. But, those are the rules. I am mad, too. But, you cannot blame the rules on the loss. The Bills defense is the #1 ranked D in the league. They played a good team and they allowed over 40 points in a game. It was a great game and one we will all remember forever.
Of the contestants involved in the six games this weekend, in addition to the two top teams that earned byes, none of the 14 NFL playoff participants are the New York Giants. No surprise at this point to Big Blue fans, many who went into the season with so much hope only to have it evaporate week by week. The root of the problem general manager Dave Gettleman and his young unproven Coach Joe Judge were sent packing a few days ago. However, some former Giants players are still enjoying the excitement of the postseason tournament.
On paper, the New York Jets made a low-risk, low-reward trade at today's trade deadline. What you may not know is that Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is a life-saver.
The two-time defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs are 3-4 and facing an uphill climb to reach the playoffs as the New York Giants visit Arrowhead Stadium.
The Buffalo Bills capped a strong defense effort with a late interception to seal a 16-10 win in hostile Kansas City, ending a three game slide and propelling Buffalo back into the playoff hunt.
