Dominion is helping Mohawk Valley Flood victims, by doing more than just restoring power. The company, which is based in Virgina, but has a station in New Hartford, donated $4000 to our Mohawk Valley Flood fund. The money will be given to the Salvation Army in Herkimer, one of the hardest hit areas.
Senator James Seward and Senator Joseph Griffo will be at the Herkimer Fire Department to detail their efforts to get the federal government on board to help residents affected by the recent flooding in the Mohawk Valley, Southern Tier, and the North Country.
As the Salvation Army continues to feed and support the victims of flooding in the city of Oneida and Herkimer County, they have begun a transition from emergency services to long term recovery and support.
