Saying that compelling applications and presentations were made by all regions participating in New York's Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI) competition, New York's Governor Andrew Cuomo is announcing the three regions that were successful in their bids.

The winners of what some have called New York's "Hunger Games" will be announced today.

Six counties in New York have joined forces in a competition to "win" a $500 million award offered by the State of New York through Governor Andrew Cuomo's Upstate Revitalization Initiative.

Presentations continue for the second and final day in front of the New York 2015 Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI), Governor Andrew Cuomo and the Regional Economic Development Councils' competition to award money to different regions in the state.

It was standing room only at the Radisson Hotel in Utica this morning as Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente delivered his 9th State of the County Address.
