Daniel Murphy homered for the fourth straight playoff game while Noah Syndergaard kept the Cubs' offense off balance, striking out nine over 5 and 2/3 innings as the Mets opened up a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven NLCS, taking a 4-1 win on Sunday night at Citi Field.

Daniel Murphy and Travis d'Arnaud each homered to back 7 and 2/3 solid innings from Matt Harvey as the Mets took the opener of the NL Championship Series with a 4-2 win over the Cubs at Citi Field on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old flame thrower outpitched three-time Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw, striking out 13 Dodgers over seven shutout innings as the New York Mets grabbed Game 1 of the NLDS by a 3-1 final in Los Angeles Friday night.
