Earlier this week I created a blog of my most memorable Derek Jeter moments. Considering the Yankees were knocked out of playoff contention this week as well, I never thought I would have had to add another unforgettable Jeter moment to this list.
Not only did Chris Young break up a no-hitter in the eighth inning and go on to score the Yankees first run of the evening, he scored the last run, belting a three-run walk-off home run to propel the Yankees to a come from behind 5-4 win over the Rays on Thursday night...
Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton was hit directly in the face with a fastball by the Brewers' Mike Fiers during Thursday night's game in Milwaukee. Strangely, he was one of two players to be hit in the head area with pitches on the same night.
Being a ball boy seems like an easy gig -- you get to sit on the field and only have to jump out of it to corral balls that are out of play. Someone should go over the job description with this poor kid.
