SHIRLEY, N.Y. (AP) — Federal transportation authorities say a pilot was aware his single-engine plane had problems when it crashed last August, killing him and one of two passengers interested in buying the aircraft.
UPDATE: 08/14/2013 10:02am It appears that no one else was injured by the plane as it crashed. The crash site is more than 2,500 feet from the airport. Local authorities are saying that trees and power lines are damaged. It is not believed that any homes or surrounding structures were hit.
