NEW YORK (AP) — Sears is selling its well-known Craftsman brand to Stanley Black & Decker Inc., which plans to grow the tool brand by selling its products at more stores.
Several major retailers are pledging that they will stop selling "realistic-looking" guns as part of a settlement reached with the State of New York.
The Sangertown Square Mall in New Hartford will be losing one of its anchor tenants. The Sears store at Sangertown, which opened in April of 1980, will be closing in early July. Company officials say the store will begin a liquidation sale on May 7th.
