Utica Police are asking the public to refrain from any unnecessary travel today.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi says the State will be reallocating Department of Transportation and National Guard resources to the Mohawk Valley to help with cleanup efforts following Tuesday's storm.

The Northeast is getting hit with Winter Storm Stella. Here in Utica New York, roads were very slick, and will continue to have more snow on them throughout the day.

The above photo is not of a parking lot or driveway. It's the scene on one of the many snow-stuffed streets in Utica. While much of central New York was spending Wednesday morning digging out from snowstorm Stella, it appears the process hadn't even begun yet in parts of Utica.

Utica Mayor Rob Palmieri was injured as he was riding with a DPW crew during the snow storm on Tuesday night, according to sources at city hall. Palmieri was actually riding on the "PistenBully," which is the snow grooming vehicle that's used on Val Bialis to groom the hill and cross country ski trails...

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Meteorologists say digging out from the nor'easter that dumped 2 to 3 feet of snow across parts of upstate New York will be made more difficult by blustery conditions and plunging wind chills.

A number of businesses, schools and government buildings are still closed due to Winter Storm Stella.
