BOSTON (AP) — A terrorism expert has testified that a note Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev wrote explaining the 2013 attack used themes of global jihad similar to those in materials found on his computer.

Members of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's family are expressing sympathy for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, but at least two - their mother and father - are saying that the two men "were not involved in anything," and that police killed Tamerlan.

It appears that one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects was an aspiring boxer here in the United States several years before he carried out his terrorist plot.
