Utica, NY (WIBX) - There is a Snow Emergency in effect in the city of Utica from 10:00 tonight through 10:00 Tuesdaymorning. Snow Emergencies are also in place in New Hartford, Frankfort and Oneida.

The snow emergency issued earlier today in Ilion has been lifted.

Winter Costing Utica More Than Council Hoped

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Winter is costing the city of Utica more than the common council had hoped. The council decreased the amount of money allocated for the purchase of road salt during the budget process last year, but now they're paying for it anyway.
