It has been a full year since the villages of Mohawk and Herkimer were turned upside down by a deadly shooting spree that resulted in a total of five deaths - four of whom police say were innocent victims that were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
One year ago the Villages of Herkimer and Mohawk suffered a tragedy as Kurt Myers allegedly shot and killed 4 people leading to a near 19 hour standoff that ended with him also shooting and killing an FBI K-9 before being killed by police.
John Seymour, known as "John the Barber," or John the Signing Barber, says his recovery is going well. He wants to thank everyone who has wished him well.
This weekend's benefit for the victim's of the Valley Shooting Spree rasied $60,000, according to Shawn McGraw of Envision Event Management, who was one of organizers for the event.
