Utica, NY (WIBX) - He already has one endorsement, but today former Utica mayor Tim Julian officially announced his candidacy for President of the Utica Common Council.

Julian has the support of the city's Republican committee, and over the weekend, screened for the Independence Party line

Roefaro Responds To Rumors: "I'm Not Running"

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Despite growing rumors that suggest otherwise, current Utica Mayor David Roefaro says he will not run for re-election.

"I just bought a new set of golf clubs and I'm shining 'em up. I'm going to enjoy my life," Roefaro told WIBX Monday afternoon. "I want to use those golf clubs."

Winter Costing Utica More Than Council Hoped

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Winter is costing the city of Utica more than the common council had hoped. The council decreased the amount of money allocated for the purchase of road salt during the budget process last year, but now they're paying for it anyway.
