Tanoury To Run For Common Council

Utica, NY (WIBX) – Former Oneida County Legislator Larry Tanoury, Junior will be running for Utica’s 2nd
Ward Common Council seat being vacated by three-term Councilman Jim Zecca.
Zecca is stepping down to run for Common Council President.

Tanoury, a Democrat, served two years on the legislature, representing the 25th district.

Tanoury had announced earlier this year that he would seek to regain his former seat on
the Board.

Zecca says he’s excited and supportive of Tanoury’s decision and he believes that Tanoury
will continue the communty work that he’s being doing for the past six years.
