A fugitive from Massachusetts, currently being held at the Oneida County Jail, is awaiting extradition to Massachusetts.

Tarrane Tillis, wanted for his alleged participation in a December 2013 armed home invasion that turned fatal for the homeowner, was captured by Utica Police and the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force earlier this month.

On February 10, 2014 Tillis is said to have waived his right to a rendition hearing, meaning that law enforcement officials in the town in which the charges originate may now pick him up.

Captain Kelly Richardson with the Lowell Police Department says that they intend to pick up Tillis at week's end.

Tillis is facing formal charges of armed assault with intent to rob and armed home invasion.
