Tax Filing Deadline Is October 15th

The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance is reminding New York residents who requested a filing extension in April that October 15th is the deadline to file their state incomes tax return.

The Department says of the 740,000 taxpayers who requested an extension, 400,000 have yet to file.

The say e-filing is the safest and fastest way to file.
