Teacher’s Assistant Charged With Endangering The Welfare Of A Child

A teacher's assistant at Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES has been arrested following an investigation by the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.

43-year old Lisa Hughes of Marcy is accused of engaging in sexual chats and messages on Facebook with a child under the age of 17.  The alleged incidents happened several times last month.

Hughes is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

The child was offered services through the Child Advocacy Center and an order of protection will be requested through the court.
