Authorities in Cleveland County, North Carolina are investigating reports of a bomb found along the side of the road in the tiny town of Lattimore, North Carolina.

MetroSource is reporting that a man found a teddy bear with a bomb in it while delivering newspapers on November 21, 2013.

The man called 911 after smelling something like gasoline.  It fell out of the stuffed toy and had wires attached to it.

Police turned the bear, and the bomb, over to agents with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.

The town, located about fifty miles outside of Charlotte, North Carolina is home to about five hundred people in about hundred households.
