Teen, 2 Men Charged In Fatal Shooting Of 63-Year-Old Man

NEWBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a teenage boy and two young men have been charged in the fatal shooting of a 63-year-old man whose body was found in a basement apartment in the Hudson Valley.

Police in the city of Newburgh say officers responded early Wednesday afternoon to a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found Raul Diaz-Martinez dead from a single gunshot wound in the head.

Officials say an investigation conducted with state police and the Orange County resulted in second-degree murder charges being filed against a 16-year-old boy and two men, ages 21 and 25. All three are city of Newburgh residents.

They're scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning in Newburgh City Court.

Police haven't released a motive for the slaying.
