Teen Addiction Program Opens in Hillcrest

A new program is addressing young people dealing with substance abuse in Broome County.

The Specialized Adolescent Treatment Program at the Children’s Home of the Wyoming Conference in Hillcrest is working with the Addiction Center of Broome County on a residential substance abuse program for teens, so they can get help and stay close to their families.

The center has eight bedrooms as well as a meeting room and kitchen.

Officials say they are hopeful that addressing addiction at an early age will help put an end to the problem as teens approach adulthood.
