BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A 17-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to fatally shooting a teen and wounding another in Buffalo last year.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says Lawren Goins, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty Monday in state Supreme Court to manslaughter and attempted murder.

Prosecutors say Goins was 16 when he shot two other 16-year-old boys on a Buffalo street in October 2016. Kristian Piazza was killed and Terrell Locket was wounded but survived.

Goins faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he's sentenced Jan. 9.
