In honor of Earth Day, Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney is encouraging residents to get out and clean up the state's parks and historic sites.

On May 4th, the state will take part in the second annual "I Love My Park Day," to clean up park lands, plant trees and restore trails. More than 70 parks and sites are being targeted for cleaning, including the Herkimer Home State Historic Site and the Glimmerglass and Bowman Lake State Parks.

Tenney says the event is "a great opportunity to spend time in nature, take pride in the natural beauty of our home and give back to the community."
