Westmoreland, NY (WIBX) - Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney officially opened her district office in what she calls an "unusual spot" ...  in the Westmoreland High School. Tenney says the move will safe tax payers money as well as encourage students participating in public service.

She said, "And at the same time, I get to have students all around, they can actually participate in the process, learn about public service, what we do, how government works, and it's going to be really exciting, I'm really looking forward to it." Tenney says she's already had visits from some of the students who she calls "great landlords."

The Assemblywoman for the 115th District says she moved her office to the high school with support and encouragement from the Superintendent of the Westmoreland School District, Rocco Migliori, and added that her office hours will be monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tenney says she encourages her constituents to stop by, however she cautions that they plan accordingly for when school is in session, or when students are being let out.
