Congresswoman Claudia Tenney is reacting to the shutdown of Harden Furniture.

Tenney says Harden Furniture has been a centerpiece of the McConnellsville community for generations, and is one of our region's longest continuously operating businesses.

Tenney says she has personally reached out to CEO Gregory Harden, and her office stands ready to provide any assistance they can to the historic business and their employees.

If New York wants to keep quality businesses like Harden in our state, Albany must reel in the oppressive tax and regulatory regime and implement business-friendly policies” said Tenney.

Big Shoulders Capital of Northbrook, Illinois bought the furniture maker for three-million dollars in a foreclosure auction Wednesday.
